This is an original WW1 recruiting poster, that would have hung in a recruiting office, post office, other public place etc. It is printed on paper and comes in two separate parts. It measures about 235cm (2 meters 35cm) on the final couple of photos, we have put a 30cm black ruler on it to give you some idea of the scale.

We have about 5 of these original WW1 British Army recruitment posters, all came direct from a family whose Grandfather served in the war (presumably as a recruiting sergeant). This one depicts 6 typical British WW1 soliders above the words “JOIN THE BRAVE THRONG THAT GOES MARCHING ALONG”. Designed by the Parliamentary Recruiting Committee whose job it was to produce these posters.
