Victorian Anglo Egyptian War in Sudan Campaign 1885 Soldiers Cabinet Photo

£29.99

These are 3 original Victorian and Edwardian sepia photos. The first shows a soldier (the one standing on the right) in the Royal Artillery at the start of his career and the second shows the same soldiers about 20+ years later, still in uniform, towards the end of his career. A lovely pair of bookended photographs for someone’s military career.

This first photo was taken in Egypt by a photographic company called Pascal Sebah. In 1886, the photographers was renamed” Sebah & Joaillier” so the backing correlates with the 1885 Sudan Campaign date. The photo show 3 Victorian soldiers in the Royal Artillery, in late Victorian British Army military uniform campaign dress.
